Fall is at the door and it’s, once again, time to start layering those clothes. But the talk of the town isn’t about cashmere pullovers or other knit sweaters – we’re starting all the way from the top today.
„Chapeau!“ We can hear this from all the corners of the hall because the flat baker-boy hat, or also known as „balloon“ or „cap“ in German, because it is in full trend this season. What has helped Kate Moss and Christy Turlington with bad hair days long before us is nowadays more than an just unimportant headpiece, which in the 19th and 20th century was marketed purely as men’s clothing and was traditionally only worn by workers and artisans, is now inseparable from the heads of our fashionistas. Whether in a classic Parisian style with jeans and a white t-shirt or the somewhat more daring style of tails and high heels, as seen on Zendaya (Bernard Hats), – this hat looks great on everyone and gives our outfits that casual touch. Kaia Gerber scores in the Military Style (Fiddler Cap), while Fashionblogger of the century Chiara Ferragni goes for more of the patent and leather sets (Rusaln Baginskiy).
We’ve compiled a couple of the most iconic styles for you here. Hats off!
